Why The Mixture?
There are many ways to worship God. This pattern of worship has been constructed to offer variety and choice. For those seeking a more traditional style of worship there is a service every Sunday either in the morning or evening. For those who prefer more informal styles of worship or who are perhaps worshipping for the first time, there is also a service each Sunday either in the morning or evening.
What About Young People?
All ages worship together twice a month at 10.45 am. On the other weeks those aged 0-13 come along at 10.30 am for their own activities. The group is called 3:16 after Jesus’ promise in John Chapter 3 verse 16 and 1 John Chapter 3 verse 16. The young people join in the Communion and then share their work with the whole church.
A group for Secondary school age children meets fortnightly.
On a Thursday at 3.30 pm we hold a service at Driffield Infant School called JAM (Jesus and me!). This is open to anyone and we hear bible stories, sing songs and get stuck into other activities!
St Mary's
Sunday services – 9.15 am
There is a weekly act of worship at 9.15 am at St Mary’s. On the first Sunday of the month this is an informal all-age service. On the other weeks this is currently a service of Holy Communion using the Book of Common Prayer.
